Kex Knowledge Exchange AG and partners bundle knowledge and competencies in cross-industry project at the RWTH Campus Aachen
To develop efficient processes for producing fuel cells in an efficient industry-scale, KEX AG formed up a team with well-known Fraunhofer-Institute for Production Technology (IPT) and RWTH Aachen Werkzeugmaschinenlabor (WZL) at the RWTH Aachen Campus. Both institutes have comprehensive experience and competencies in production technology and deliver an ideal infrastructure for practical research of the production processes.
In the three-month consortium project "Fuel Cell Industrialization", the knowledge and competencies of the industry and research partners are to be bundled cross-industrially. During this pilot phase, the participating partners will have the opportunity to determine their current status and needs.
With the consortium project „Fuel Cell Industrialization“ at the RWTH Aachen Campus, KEX Knowledge Exchange AG targets a massive boost for bringing the fuel cell on the road and into the markets. While the technological principles are well known and well researched, today´s biggest challenge is the economical mass production of fuel cells.
Dr. Myron Graw and Henning Janssen, project leader oft he consortium project „Fuel Cell Industrialization“ are convinced that the massive spread out of fuel cells could bring further savings and realize the vision of zero-emission individual traffic.
